Bring the Sunshine Tinsel Town!

Hopefully Tinsel Town will not let us down tomorrow and bring the sunshine. Rain is promised tomorrow but I guarantee you that the ladies of the Oscars will bring the pizzaz with this season's best fashion. The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will take place tomorrow, March 7, 2010 in Hollywood, California. First time in a long time that I'm excited about the Oscars.


I can't wait to see who will be wearing Carolina Herrera.

My wish is that the femmes of the Oscars will sport any one of the fabulous gowns of Carolina Herrera (pictured above). The Carolina Herrera 2010 Spring collection is inspired by the forms woven in Japanese baskets.  The colors amber, rose and caramel are drawn from the waning light cast at the end of a summer’s day. The luminous quality of this light is reflected in fabrics and embroidery used for evening. 

Herrera's line follows the trends of Spring 2010 by inspiring a whimsy and  fierce romance, much like the movies that are nominated. Other colors in this trend include flame red, bright pink, turquoise, fuchsia or purple-blue. Star of Avatar, Zoe Saldana, would look fabulous in any of these colors. It would be super cool to see Monique rock the red carpet in one of Herrera's gown. I pick the lilac one for Monique. I know she could work it!
